Fashion & Compassion is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
Fashion & Compassion creates empowerment communities where vulnerable women connect with God, one another and
resources as their lives are transformed. Fashion & Compassion runs programs in Charlotte, North Carolina and we partner with Artisan projects in six other countries. F&C teaches women to make jewelry and other crafts while they
are on their transformational journey toward self-sustainability.
The women we hire in Charlotte are not hired based on skill but rather based on vulnerability and need. They are referred to us by our local Community Impact Partners. Donations allow us to pay the women a fair wage for participating in our program that includes part-time, transitional employment and participation in our empowerment programs.
Your donations fund our empowerment programs that include working individually with each woman on an Artisan Empowerment Plan where they set their goals and dreams for the future. We are working to break the cycle of poverty, addiction and injustice in the lives of women and women need more than simply employment to do so. Therefore, we help each woman address her needs and goals, connecting her with the resources that she needs.
