How to Host a Successful Trunk Show
When should I host my trunk show?
You can host a trunk show anytime you’d like! On a weekday, weekend, morning or night, it’s totally up to you! We recommend checking your calendar, choosing a date & inviting friends that want to use their purchase power for good!
Is it ever “too early” to start planning for a trunk show?
We always say, “the sooner, the better” so it’s never too early to get something on the calendar. If you start planning a month in advance, that should give you more than enough time to gather your friends, place your order & receive the product.
Where should I host my trunk show?
Wherever you want! The best thing about a trunk show, is that you can do it anywhere. From your house, to your church or office, to the local coffee shop, your community is your oyster!
Do I need a lot of space?
You can have the biggest space in the world or the smallest space & it won’t make a bit of difference! It’s all in how you set it up & if you need display suggestions or creative assistance, we can help.
How should I prepare for my trunk show?
Preparing for your trunk show is a lot like meal prepping – the more you do in advance, the easier it will be the day of.
Here are some tricks that we’ve seen work in the past:
- Three Weeks Before: Send out invitations or e-vites for your trunk show
- Two Weeks Before: Share your trunk show on social media
- Two – Three Days Before: Follow up with people who haven’t RSVP’d & remind your friends
- The Day Of: Send a final reminder to everyone who’s planning to come
When will my Fashion & Compassion product arrive?
You’ll receive your product about two weeks before the trunk show.
Once it arrives, make sure to inventory each item to ensure you’re not missing anything. There will be an inventory sheet included or emailed to you for reference. If something doesn’t match up or if any items are damaged, please contact us within 48 hours.
What about the day of my trunk show?
Trunk shows are meant to be fun, so don’t stress! After all, you’ll be with your friends, you get to shop & you’re helping empower women around the world!
Is there anything I need to do when the trunk show is over?
We’re so glad you asked, because the answer is “yes”!
When your trunk show is over, make sure you review the inventory list & record the number of unsold items. You’ll also need to cross check that list with the remaining product to make sure the numbers match up.
Once everything has been accounted for, just head to the post office & send us your unsold items within 7 business days. We’ll include a return shipping label so you don’t even have to worry about standing in line!
