Micro-Business Fund - Uganda

Our Dignity Project in Uganda not only trains women to make our beautiful paper bead jewelry, but also trains women to start their own small businesses and a local village bank.

A village bank is a micro-savings group where the artisans pool their savings together & lend money to one another to help grow their small businesses.

The micro-business training and village banking program empower our artisans to become self-sufficient as they learn to support their families and community. This fund supports the the micro-business/village banking training and monitoring we provide to our artisans. The funds are also being used to support our initiative to train the artisans to make feminine hygiene kits that meet critical needs in the local community.
